Community living Camp

The Harmony Haven Community Living Camp, held from February 13th to 17th, 2024, at Iqbal Training College, was a resounding success. Under the guidance of Camp Coordinator Dr. Divya, Assistant Professor, the camp brought together participants for a fun-filled and enriching experience. The inauguration by Sri Bijukumar SI, Police, set the tone for the camp's diverse activities.

Day one commenced with a self-defense class, followed by a thought-provoking panel discussion and an exciting game gala. The evening's treasure hunt show and cultural program, Fusion Fiesta 1, showcased the participants' creativity and talent. The second day began with a refreshing morning walk, followed by a folk song awareness class led by Dr. B Suresh. A mock parliament session and fashion showcase inspired by Raja Ravi Varma's paintings kept the participants engaged, culminating in a high-energy Zumba workshop and another round of Fusion Fiesta.

The third day started with a rejuvenating yoga session led by Ahammed Ramzy, Assistant Professor of Physical Education. Dr. Bindu's songwriting session encouraged participants to express themselves creatively, followed by a self-cooked lunch that fostered teamwork and camaraderie. A visit to an old age home allowed participants to connect with the residents and gain valuable life insights. The evening campfire brought everyone together, sharing stories and bonding over the camp experience.

On the fourth day, the campers embarked on a thrilling trip to Wagamon, exploring the glass bridge and pine valley. The scenic beauty and adventure activities created lifelong memories. The final day's valedictory function marked the end of the camp, with participants reflecting on their experiences and thanking the organizers and each other for the unforgettable memories.

Overall, the Harmony Haven Community Living Camp was a triumph, providing a platform for participants to learn, grow, and form lasting connections. The diverse range of activities catered to different interests and talents, making it an enriching experience for all.

Innovative work

While teaching refraction on 9 th standard, I created a working model of a hologram to help my students understand the concept of application of refraction. Using a OHP sheet , cardboard, black papers, glue, scale, I assembled the hologram. The model is demonstrated in a dark room using mobile hologram video. Demonstrating this in class, my students were able to see the principles and applications of refraction in action, significantly enhancing their comprehension and engagement. This hands-on approach not only made the lesson more interesting but also helped cement their understanding of the topic.

The students were engaged, and I felt a sense of accomplishment in addressing their individual needs.Friday, July 11, The final day at school was a mix of emotions.

Teaching practice phase 3 week 4

One more week remains as we draw closer to the end of our teaching practice. This week, starting on July 1st, has been eventful and productive. On July 4th, a strike took place, impacting our schedule. Despite this disruption, we managed to stay on track and complete almost all lesson plans.

A highlight of my week was my observation on July 3rd. I received very positive feedback from my teacher, which was incredibly encouraging. This affirmation of my efforts has made me feel so glad and motivated as I continue to refine my teaching practice. With just one week left, I am looking forward to making the most of the remaining days.
